There should be a few good men .... and perhaps women from Dromara CC doing this. Details and application forms available www.castlereaghcc.com/tog.htm. Only 200K ... should be easy.

For those (like me) who might not know - Apparently if you are planning on doing this you need to be down with your bike out, etc, etc by 7:30.

Tour of toughness glens report: A good turnout of 140 riders yesterday. There were 11 Dromara representatives. The weather started out a tad cold and never really heated up. The trip started out with a nice run out past Ballyclare to the coast at Ballygalley and along to Glenarm. At Glenarm we did the first climb which was easy enough going. From there it was down again and along to Cushendall. At cushendall there was a quick stop. The Dromara boys were so keen to get going that we went before the main group. The first climb out of Cushendall was approx 6 miles of steady climbing. I hadn't been up that way before and thought it was a pretty good climb. Of course Ronnie was first Dromara man over the top of that one, I was just keeping my powder dry (honest). Down the other side we could see the bunch catching but stayed away until half way up the next climb which certainly seemed quite long to me and I got dropped near the top. We regrouped for sangers in Cushendall and it was off again. The climb up Glenariff was good going and the run to Broughshane was easy enough. On the road to hell, sorry Ballyclare, I had no up left for the hills so got dropped by the Dromara Tour of the North contigent and the front bunch seemed to split a bit. I made it back to city hall by 4.00 so happy enough. Overall 124.5 miles, in 7.18 hrs with an av of 17.1 for me. I think the front Dromara runners had an average of 18. Good day out and many thanks to the castlereagh contingent for a laying on a good spread, etc.
