There are 2 events of interest to club cyclists collectively called the Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford on Sunday 24th August. The 100km Kelly Legacy is for experienced cyclists (ie non-competitive club cyclists) and the 160km Kelly Comeragh Challenge is for regular Sportive and racing cyclists with two Category One climbs. Sportactive have a connection with this event through Sean Kelly and you can contact David McCall to get more info on this at www.sportactive.net. The official home page for the event is www.theseankellytour.comI am staying in an apartment and I believe there is still plenty of accomodation available in and around Dungarvan for the Saturday night before the event and the Sunday night after if you want to make a nice long Bank Holiday weekend out of it. Also it is probably the last significant event of the summer so why not join me and some others who attended the Sportactive training camps in Majorca this year.
