Many thanks if you have already voted online for Sustrans' Connect2 at www.thepeoples50million.org.uk and for spreading the word to your own contacts.

Everyone can now vote from a landline and mobile.* Voting is restricted to one vote per phone number, so switchboard numbers will only count once. Even if hundreds of people vote from extensions through one switchboard, it will only count as one vote. If you can, please vote from home and by mobile.

Just a personal note on this.

It galls me every time I see one of these stupid arty farty millennium way markers on the cycle routes.

Surely this money would have been been better spent on proper signage where it is needed.

I have noticed plenty of places where people get lost time after time.

If they do manage to get more money, and i hope they do, hopefully they will make sensible use of it.

That will be the day! In fairness I don't think it is their responsibility it is most likely down to the local council.

Looking at the promo on the link above it would seem work carried out here is going to be west of the Bann.

One big improvement would be a bridge here

Now that would cut out a hell of a lot of glass going through Portadown.

Every time I go through Portadown on the tow path I'm picking glass out of my tyres for weeks, record three tubes from Portadown to Banbridge by the time all pieces were out.
