Hi Maeve I posted all the appropriate info earlier this week but could not understand why it did not appear......as my kids tell me...........over 50 (or is it 25) have be forgiven..... for everything.........so here it goes again.............
Now I can' remember.........!!!!!!!!!
yes...Linen Rooms, Gilford
Ardisin the Furniture Place, Gilford Gilbery Fayre (past the Banville) at Halls Mill also the coffee shop at Balloo House
good places for a t stop....
It seems that most people would like to leave Ballynahinch promptly at 10am on Sat.....do 25/30 miles, t stop and home early......
perhaps Bob or Trev could work out a route for us

Gilford, Balloo and Killyleagh (real or imaginary) are all new for me so those are all good potential winter refuges.

Great new Cafe visited by No Control group yesterday, Believe me there was absolutely No Control....Anyway it is called "Fritzy's World Famous Sandwich Emporium. Great atmosphere surrounded by fellow cyclists, cycling specific menu using organic ingredients put together with the care of a master/mistress with a real flair for all things wholesome.
I will particularily mention the service, the waiter even brought his own bike out to show us at one stage between the sandwiches and cakes.
Thanks to the Fritzes, owners of The World Famous, their catch phrase says it all " if your gonna ride hard you need to get a good feed in."
Reservation by invitation only, so worth getting on fritzes goood side next time you see him. ;D

The slow patrol had a good jaunt out on Saturday, we didn't find anywhere as nice as Niges, but instead went to Hillside Garden Centre for lunch near Castlereagh . Glad to see so many out on Saturday, sorry I missed Sunday but was doing the ' family' thing for a change, hope trail quest went well.
Keep the ideas for lunch stops coming ....as 'eating food' is the 2nd of my favourite things after cycling!

Keep the ideas for lunch stops coming ....as 'eating food' is the 2nd of my favourite things after cycling! We stopped in Castlewellan today. First place we tried wanted us to sit outside as they were setting up for lunch. It may have after 12 but it certainly wasn't the summer so we moved to the Eurospar. We were nearly the only ones in which was a change from our last visit. When the food arrived the empty seats didn't need any explaining.
