Excellant day for cycling for a start.Me and B.L started in the easier group of about 20 riders much to the disgust of that cat Elvis ;D,(i know my place!!)with Darren,Davy and Ronnie in the faster one.Headed to Armagh at a steady 17 with an Apollo guy calling the changes. There was a headwind untill Caledon were it eased slightly. We were caught by the fast boys at the 30 ml mark and swelled the numbers to 60 or 70. It took me a mile or two to adjust to the pace especially up through Dungannon. On to Coalisland were the wind seemed to get stronger or was it just me? Homeward towards Portadown were i began to feel it.The last wee hill into Portadown saw me out the back and then a puncture shortly after. Rode the last 5 ml to Lurgan on my own were the tea and sandwiches were welcome. Happy enough especially on the winter hack . 65 on the clock 20 avg. Well done Apollo.
