The Sunday run ... consisted of the "Energetic Eight", Deek, Bob, numpty, Jim, John R, Anneio , Davy and myself met at Scarva .. beautiful little flowery town outside Banbridge, we headed down the tow path, the only traffic being little children on their scooters and random dogs. Arrived in Newry and then headed towards Omeath ... then we took a right turn up the steepest mountain ever. One or two of the Energetic Eight cycled up it, the rest decided to walk and admire the scenery When we reached the top we then all lay on the ground and went "AAHHH" The views of Warrenpoint, Newry, Rostrevor and Carlingford lough were breath taking, definitely worth the punishing climb. Headed into Carlingford to a wee pub for Sandwiches,Soup and Guinness. Headed home down the tow path again.. Anneio went " bang" as her tyre burst.. but the talented mechanical support crew sorted her out.... arrived back to Scarva , a very enjoyable day out.... great craic, great company and great cycling :-) 50 miles on the clock, Cheers to all , Maeve ;D

A great day cycling plenty of chat and a few good laughs i really enjoyed being out again on a sunday run, yesterdays run beat the hell out of melamore and the road to it. Really glad to see Maeve back again, i think we all missed her sparkle. I was able to take comfort that more than me had a hill ramble yesterday. .

I enjoyed that run on Sunday. Perfect cure for a hangover ;D Well worth it just to go up THAT hill It was the best/ worst/ hardest hill ive ever done. A bit like the Cornmill only 5 times as long JR called it a effin b which i think summed it up perfectly!

Thanks Bob for arranging this day, one of the best this year, the craic and the company was awesome...
we had scones and coffee at Scarva before starting on the toe path...
lunch in Carlingford and back to Scarva for stew followed by coffee (buns for Maeve)..and good craic...yep the climb was horrendous, I was in the lowest gear all the way (walking) and Maeve was on her knees... here 's to more days like this!!!!
