Marcus, Stephen, Peter, Hamilton, Noel, Nigel and Ronnie set off for the hills taking in parts of the Sportive route. We headed out through the Spa and onto Dree then to Hilltown and Spelga stopping at Meelmore for lunch and the main road from Newcastle home.
Beautiful day to be in the mountains, a steady day, which made a welcome change, some high speed down hills, 52MPH, on the way down from Dree. Good form and talk of a mass turn out for next weeks race. I had 84 for the day with an average of 17, the last five miles between Crossgar and Killyleagh hurt.
