Marcus, Gary, Hamilton, Neal, Peter, Steven at the square this morning, after a chat with the Mckelveys we set off, towards the Spa, up some cliff which had my wee legs screaming. After recognising that we may be in for a fast one and coughing up what remained of my lung, we headed towards Seaforde, passing the hair bears going the opposite way.
From Seaforde took the backroads in the direction of Downpatrick and then onto Tyrella and Ardglass where Hamilton split for the day. Neal left us in Strangford where we chowed down and chewed over the burning issues of the day, the Welshman out on stealth mode again nearly got past us but he returned for a brew after being flagged down.
From there it was Quoile and onto Ballynahinch with the wind at our backs. I split at Ballynahinch and the rest headed out to Annahilt for extra miles.
A fast day out (Marcus) with a cold and at times harsh wind which improved after lunch when the sun came out proper. 18 odd average for 52 miles. No sign of Nigel, must'nt have been allowed out.
