Six in Dromara this morning. Jim, Anne A, Davy R, Deek, Ross, numpty and myself. BL was meant to be No 7 but for what reason he was missing without action.
So the later 10 start turned into a 10:15 start. Meelmore was the destination heading out towards the Gall bog into a very strong headwind.
Anne struggled on the hills so Jim said he would wait with her while we went on. The pace wasn't hard but we had to keep on the move as Ross had to be home for 12:30, he left us at Letrim.
We made it to Meelmore around 12:05 (taking one of my short cuts down what Davy described as a dry river bed to miss a dirty hill) where I knocked back a fry which hit the spot. Was getting worried that I might drop below 14 stone.
Back on the road and a fast drop to Maghera past a large turnout for the (what did santa bring you) downhill race.
Deek and Davy parted our company at Walter watson's. we headed for home while they went up the back of Croob as Deek lives over the other side. Davy had 20 miles under his belt before meeting us this morning so I am sure he was well over 80 by home. He is starting to do that freewheel up hills thing again, or at least that;s how it looks.
Once back in hinch a final important stop, pint/s of the black stuff of me and a hot port for numpty. 50 mile total and not sure of the ave. but am near sure it was below 20 mph, well below (13.4)
numpty got 2 30's and I got 3 while Deek got a collie in the teeth. How do you award points for that?
