Weather windy and overcast, rain stayed away, very mild. Marcus, Ronnie , Stevie Baines, Hamilton, Peter B, Dennis and Noel out of Ballynahinch at 10:15 (not bad) headed on the hard road to Dromara into the wind at a ludicrous pace, then out the sportive route from Dromara, with Dennis wisely heading off on his own to get the base miles in. The rest took in some of the local hills, again this will be general due to lack of time to lift my head even if I did know where I was going, ending up at Windy Gap were varous layers were shed, it really was unseasonably warm. Carried on the wee roads towards Rathfrisland and then turned towards Castlewellan and hit 38 on the flat into the town with the wind at our backs. Coffee stop and then homeward with me puncturing on the big hill out of the town, Noel and Hamilton headed on needing to get back and after a new boot, the rest wellied it to Clough, and on the main road to the Hinch, a cool down and home for half one. Some scarey car drivers on the road from Castlewellan, one cutting it very close to prove point- some people seem quite prepared to mow a bike down in return for being held up slightly, mad . About 40 odd miles and a healthy average despite the wind and stops, sorry did' nt reset my computer. A hard day out.
