Due to work and family commitments Trevor Annett has decided to step down as club secretary for Dromara Cycling Club this year.
The club recognise his 20 year dedication to the running of the club and fully support his decision.
Trevor will remain a member of the club and is happy to provide advice and guidance to the current committee.
We look forward to seeing him out on his bike soon.
The committee have agreed that I am to take over the role of club secretary.

Trevor thanks for all the work you have done over the years - still remember meeting you and Bob out in Dromara hills 8 years ago in the days of the wee club, hope to lean on you from time to time. Thanks again.

As long as it is only his hat and not his helmet!
I would think Trevor will find it strange taking a back seat after all these years as he has devoted so much of his time for the benefit of Dromara CC. Trevor never need to call meetings to decide who was going to carry out thankless tasks, he just went and did them himself. He has been more like a parent than a secretary to the club and every action he has taken has been in the clubs best interests, to see it grow to where it is today. Now the club has grown into a spotty faced rebellious teenager it is time to let it make its own decisions, lets hope they are all good.
On the up side there is no better person to step into his shoes than Martin. He also has shown a selfless passion to see the club prosper.

So sorry Trevor to read that you are stepping down from your long serving position as secretary and guardian of our club. If it is your wish then we respect that, however I am sure all club members along with myself will wish to say a big THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication to our club and for making it such a success by putting Dromara in the headlights. I am delighted that you will still be cycling with us. Congratulations Martin on your new role. You have a hard act to follow but I am sure all club members will be supportive.

Sorry to hear that Trevor has decided to call it a day as secretary. He has put in many countless hours at the helm and provided sound advice for many on the cycling scene. As Bob says Trevor, hope it's just the hat your hanging up and not your helmet!!! Look forward to seeing you out on the bike soon. Wouldn't like to think you'll be stranger for some of the runs like the coastal and all. All the best in your, ahem, 'retirement'. Martin, as his replacement, will no doubt continue with the same dedication to the club that he has demonstrated time out of number. I have no doubt he will do a super job indeed. A sound choice to keep the club moving forward. Well done.

Trevor
Many thanks for all your hard work over the years from Noel and I. Noel I have had the privelege to have been a members of the club for some years. Your standing down has made me recall memories of when we joined a much smaller club and of the guys who were on the scene then. Through all the years you put in so much hard work for the benefit of us all. You should be very proud of your achievements playing a vital role in helping to make the club one of the finest in NI. Hope to see you out on the bike, maybe one of those Bikedock irons.
Martin congratulations on your appointment, I can't think of anyone more able and deserving.
