Hi Guys,
I'm pretty new to the road cycling, having only started last year. My fitness levels have dropped over Christmas and I was wondering if Spin class was a good way to get this back. I went last week for the first time and it was hard! Do you think this will help or is better just to get out and do the miles and the hills?
Also second question. I know many women like to lose weight but I really don't. Could anyone give me any advice on what I should eat after I come in from a cycle?
Thanks, Jill

After a ride it is important to replace muscle glycogen. It's best to take the replacement carbohydrates early within a half hour of finishing your cycle. Might be an idea to add some protein to this to aid muscle recovery too. (you can add protein to your drink while on longer, harder rides).
