as some of you may know i am off to minneapolis this thursday 21st dec for 24 days, because it is a massive metropolis and the sub zero climate i had resigned myself to taking a rest off the bike for the duration but couldnt bear the thought i decided to look up some clubs in the minnesota area on the web and came across the minneapolis road club who cater for all levels so i left a message on their board to see what the situation was out there for biking a guy called jim flanders replied saying they have had no snow yet and are still riding on the roads at a (take note stevie) casual pace if it does snow or become icey they move onto cross bikes or mtbs and follow some sort of trail system throughout the city he also says they would be happy for the travelling dromara man to join them on these runs and will even sort out a bike as well ;D so it looks like there is going to be some training for the fritzman after all and i will keep you all informed on this board if possible so all left to do is wish everyone a merry xmas and a happy new year see ya all in 2007

Have a blast in America Nige ...... be sure to bring your own saddle if your riding someone elses bike ( I learnt the hard way :-).. the pain ain't worth it ) If you in any Bike shops round Bloomington direction - look out for a bloke named Mark Young - he works in one of the cycle shops and is a mate of mine, actually the person to thank(blame) for me taking up cycling !
