hi guys - Im new to the whole mtb thing but would like to get a gentle intro to trails etc. Is it ok to tag along some nite (when my bike arrives) ? how challenging is the whole terrain for a newbie? I usually do time trials! Torchy

Johnny, I don't blame Torchy. You guys have a hardcore reputation on your tow path runs. Minimum gravel path / tarmac. All through the trees, roots, drop offs, fast pace. Just look at the guys you have out with you. I've been mtbing for years and I'm too scared to join you guys ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Torchy, our runs are suitable for those new to off-roading. The majority of the route is the tow path itself with the various sections through the trees strictly on gravel paths. The pace is set by the slowest person. We don't leave anyone behind. There are lots of places to 'opt out' and head home should the pace or the terrain be too much on the first night. We have had a couple of newbees to mtbing this year coming through so we are well used to looking after them. Get the bike sorted, get out a bit yourself to check that you are able to handle the bike and then drop me a line so we can look out for you. martin@dromaracc.co.ukDon't forget to get GOOD lights. There are lots of discussions on the forums about lights but feel free to post here for advice. The better the light, the more confident you'll feel. Hope to see you out soon.
