Hi, i hope there will be a good turn out @ my Pub Quiz for the Down Residential Project in the Squire one Dromara @ 8pm on the 6th October. This Quiz is for a very good cause and i hope the club will support it. Come along and have a good night and some craic and you just might win some prizes.   |

Good night had at the Square One. Dromara CC were represented by Jim, Alan & Kerry and me. Team name: Dromara CC (what else!! ;D) Quiz hosted by Whitecat entertainment. Very well done to them. Excellent questions which everyone could get some if not all. Questions got gradually harder as the night went on. The picture round was tough, the music ones hard as well, and we did ok on the tv theme round. Nice touch was the Who Wants to be a Millionaire round at the end. We slipped up on "When was the Andrex dog commercial first shown on TV?" Answer 1972. We had 1970.  10 teams there, with many of the teams have members in the 50+ category. We finished joint 7th overall. Had a great night. Many thanks to Eddie Doyle and his staff for providing tasty hot food. Hopefully we raised a fair bit for Raymund. We got information from him about the trip,...fly to Cairo, morning siteseeing, briefing, 7 hours to start of cycle, finish in the valley of the kings, afternoon siteseeing. Good luck Raymund !! |

Thanks Martin for your report on the quiz last night. Every body seem to enjoy the night very much. There was plenty of banter and laughter going on about the questions . We made £342. for the charity, that was fantastic. A big thanks to all for making it such a success.  |
