Just joined to say thank you to some of your club members for their help yesterday at ltl. It was in the last few miles and I had lost the will to turn the pedals another turn when I heard the steam train of your club members flying along and they shouted at me to hop on the back and gave me the encouragement to go on. With there help I managed to catch up on my boss who had left me behind but I didn't slow down when I seen him I kept tramping on to the finish to complete with an overall time of 6 hrs or a total cycling time of 5 hrs 5 mins and an average of 16.6 not bad considering I only started cycling in June. Don't think it was a good idea to finish in front of the boss tho because he is very competitive and has been cycling for 5 years he said at the end he only entered me into ltl because he thought I would fail and he never though for 1 sec that I would finish in front of him lol well I guess there is no pay rise for me this year lol
once again many thanks

Likewise, thanks to Robin Priestley, a member of our club, and his friend from Lanterne Rouge and their group. After staying with numpty, Davey etc. for as long as I thought was wise (I had to make it back and ride home), I let them fly on and Eithne from Banbridge and I jumped on the wheels of Robin & friends. We finished around 2.50pm with an average of 17.5. Cycled home, about 98 miles all in. Lots of Dromara ones out today, met a good few who I'd never seen before. So Robin, thanks for the tow and for the company of you and your friends. Well done to Robin's young daughter who completed the event too.
