Hi Martin,

It's that time of year again so i've been asked to contact you on
behalf of Olympian Tri Club so see whether any of your guys would be able to help us out with the marshalling of the event on Saturday 7th August. The cycle route is on closed roads this year so we need marshals for every road junction we cross.

The event is in the morning this year - it starts at 10.00am and the
marshals briefing is in Castlewellan Park at 9.00am ! I believe it's
your "Hilly Event" the day after so you may have a lot on your plate
but any help would be appreciated - there's the usual goody bag/t-
shirt/food&drink for all those helping out.

Peter Bryson and I helped out at this last year. A great day. Also present were Maeve and Peter Swann. Stephen W stopped by as well.

It is a big event and an opportunity to promote our Hilly. Please let me know if you can help out. I'm going to check my diary at home and hopefully I'll be there to take pictures again.

Yes we could still do with some for the cycle route - it's on closed roads and every junction needs to be marshalled. We could get away with 1 marshall on single junctions but it would be a lonely old job !
Any help would be appreciated

Some photos from Saturday's Tri event on the Banbridge Road from Castlewellan to Moneyslane. The competitors had to do the route twice, this after a swim around the Castlewellan lake and then to return to the lake to run round it. Fit folk!
