Drumlough is on the road between Hillsborough and Dromara. If you were coming from Ballynahinch you would come along the Dromore (not Dromara road). At the cross roads for Dromara / Hillsborough turn right. About 1/2 mile or so up the road you come to small village with a row of white houses and a big layby (you can't miss this feature). That is the spot.

I texted Trevor to say I can marshal. Haven't heard back yet so shall check before Thurs. If not I suppose I might have to endure some more suffering! Well done to all who completed the Sportive- R E S P E C T !

Racing 16miles tonight were Nigel, Richard, Trevor, Killyleagh Peter, Deek, Bill, John R, the junior cyclists - Matthew and Sam Patterson, Matthew and Ben Mc Kelvey. The latter did especially well - Matthew even finished with a flat wheel. Marshalling were Jim, Annieo, Stevie Wallace, Diana Patterson, Dessie and me. Great time keeper was Steven Philips. John R pipped Richard to the post for 1st place - very very close. Nigel was 3rd not too far behind. It was a great race to watch ( probably very sore to cycle) Hope to see lots cyclists out next time.

But what about the hair 'not there' bunch and Ronnie 'Sunbed' Smyth? Rumour has it that the hairs were getting perms and Ronnie was topping up his tan.

I was nearly sick after the first lap trying to catch young Sam but kept going. It was worth it just to see Mathews face when we passed him on the last lap
