On 9th and 10th Sept the Womens Commission of Cycling Ireland are holding a womens international road race series in Balbriggan,Co.Dublin. It attracts around 50-70 female riders of all levels each year with teams from Germany.Holland and the UK invited to take part. They would like to see it being well supported by home riders. This year format has been changed to encourage more novice riders to take part.Race distances are short,points will be awarded to every rider who starts a race in the series. The Sunday race will be Divided Mass Start so riders will be racing in a group of their own ability. 2 day event with 3 races Race 1- 9th Road Race 36mile/60km(9laps of a 4 mile circuit) Race 2- 9th Time Trial 1.3mile/2km Race3- 10th Road Race 45mile/72km(1 lap) It promises to be very enjoyable and a great opportunity to try racing. Lunch will be provided free of charge for all riders.
