Right there are 3 options this weekend: Saturday: Club run 10:00am Ballynahinch or lap the lough www.lapthelough.org/ ( I looked this up on website and its on 27th August ? and not this weekend..... am I confusing it with something else? Sunday: Club cycle 9:30am Dromara or The Sperrin Challenge starts 10am from mid ulster sports arena - entrance off cookstown - stewardstoen b520 road. BBq and certs at finish. This Saturday it is the Freewheelers that are promoting the Lough Neagh Tour, nothing to do with lap the lough. They run this every year and around the same date. Starts in Crumlin at 9:30.
It is in aid of sports for the disabled. Wheelchairs lead out and go as far as Antrim. You will be surprised how fast they can go!
The first group average around 20.5. Starting out easy but every man/woman for themselves after Lurgan (goes anti clock) As there is normally a very good turnout there are plenty of different groups of different paces to choose from

I am probably going to do the madigan race on Saturday.....as long as me knee ain't to sore. Any other takers for racing at Kilroot?

This Sat Castlewellan Forest Park is hosting The Mourne Olympian Triathlon at 1pm with over 350 competitors. Maeve Cahill who is a member of Dromara CC is competing so good luck Maeve. Also there is a youth Duathlon for ages 11-16 years old in Castlewellan Forest Park on the same day.The race starts 9.30am there is a 1.2km run, 4km cycle and 0.6km run.
