Good run last night with very little wind, about a dozen or so out. Captain Elvis Baines kept control with the whistle and taps at the front of about 2 mins.....although we were all yellow carded after leavin him at the p stop! Good to see Mark out after the knee op. The Michael Pyper fan club was out in force in a few places ........definetely more than last week( must have been the pics on cycling Ulster ;D) Quote of the night was when a few chavs were slabberin at us was "away an do your homework!" The pace upped a bit on the way to Scarva and then up the drag the gaps began to show....Hair Bear treated us all to a beautifull rendition of the Englebert Humperdinck classic 'Please Release Me '.... with me Merv and Ryan bringin up the rear....Ryan kickin me all the way Good steady run at 18.5 avg and 1 puncture

John - The Tuesday training night meets in Dromore Square @ 6.30pm sharp, the distance is approx 38 miles and it's on your road bike. There are usually around dozen cyclists out.
The average speed is 19 mph - so you need to keep up or you will be dropped.
We also meet on Thursday nights - same detail as above.
The Annahilt crew also go out on Tuesday night (I think?) - Gavin is the best to advise on what happens on this run.

hi michael
thanks a lot for the info...the pace might get me before the end but i'll have to gave it a try, have to build up to get out with the no control group if i can get out some saturday, and if i get dropped then sure it will not be the first time, and better on a shorter run like this than on a long run on a saturday
off to the shop to get some lights
thanks john

thanks to the guys out tonight for easing a little at the right times so that i could get home safely with the group....thought i could hang on no problem to a group, but them there little rises eventually started to take their toll, the road out of scarva finally undid me, must be a power to weight ratio issue ;D so a serious diet is starting tomorrow

Do you guys go out on Tuesday and Thursday evenings over the summer months or with racing on is it different. Im not at a 19av pace yet so no point going with you faster lads to be dropped so if anyone wants a more steady paced run on those evenings im up for that.
