Exciting New Course for East Antrim Cyclocross
East Antrim CC /Cyclocross Event, Sat 10 October 2009 This year’s CX race, promoted by East Antrim Audi will be held on a totally new course. There will be a mixture of concrete lane, fire road, 0.6mile road section and some grassy slopes and drags (no jumps). A fantastically fast course has been designed and all is rideable depending on rider ability.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO YOUTH RACING
Due to the nature of the course only riders sixteen years and above will be permitted to ride.
A support MTB race will also take place. Start time for both races will be 1PM. We request all competitors and supporters to obey all our regulations and instructions. We rely entirely on the goodwill of land-owners and ask you all to respect this.
Directions as follows: Follow A8 dual carriageway into Larne. Take signs for A2 coastal route. Stay on Coast Road for approx 5 Miles to Ballygally. Turn left at Ballygally Castle Hotel onto the Cairncastle Road. Continue for 1 mile until T Junction at the Meeting House Pub. Turn right continue for 100 metres then turn left on the Ballycoose Road. Continue for 1.5 miles, circuit is on the left hand side. The race venue will be sign posted form Ballygally Castle Hotel.
