Is anyone considering this? I feel knackered at just the thought of it. Is this anything organized or just a Sunday run starting at an unholy hour on the holy day?

Tim Burch from the Ards cc has planned the route. It will be a leisure ride stopping for meals and refreshments along the way.

I can't speak for others but I don't think I will be going on Sunday. I am not allowed to get my staples wet. At least that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.

200 miles in a day .... WE DID IT! .. got the tired legs, sore bum and tan lines to prove it! A great day,7 of us: Dessie, John, Ron, Robin, Tim from Ards and Anne and me from Dromara left Comber at Dawn - 5am ... to set off round 6 counties and cover 200 miles. Headed to Co.Antrim, first stop in Randalstown (35miles) for a coffee to warm ourselves up... was baltic.. then headed into Co. Derry - Anne and Ron had a bit of a tumble in Draperstown, but they got patched up and back on the way. Headed towards Co.Tyrone, over the Sperrin mountains, really nice scenery over wee quiet rumbly roads. Stopped in Gortin in the adpt named Peddlars rest (75miles) for some yummy fry ups and scrambled eggs. Then headed to Co. Fermanagh through Omagh. Took a bit of a wrong turn up a big hill.... but the view was worth it. Had a tough route to Eniskillen - never ending hills... it was getting hot and everyone was glad to see the Killyhelvin Hotel. 116 miles done - a well deserved soup and roll rest with a lovely view of the lake and water sports.Everyone in great spirits as we headed along the motorway to Augher ...a bit hairy experience with crazy Sunday drivers. Then we headed to Armagh and stopped for tea (150miles).. the lads nearly/ tried to lose us as we stopped for the loo.. but we cycled realy fast and caught up. Legs were getting tired but everyone was still 'yacking'- craic was great. On the way to Co. Down via Portadown, Moira, Hillsborough, Carryduff..best feeling ever was seeing the sign for Comber - 12miles to go. It was complete darkness at this stage... everyone following a wee red light ... We arrived in Comber at 10:45pm with 208 miles clocked . We had a well deserved celebratory drink in Dessies house. This is us at Pedlars rest. www.gentix.com/documents/misc/3.jpg
