I read with interest today that the road calendar is now available on Cycling Ulster.
Great I thought, must check to see if our Coastal Tour is on the correct date and not moved from where it has been for YEARS. Even more years than other clubs running tours on the same day have been in existence!
Surprise then when I found no road leisure date listed, only road race dates. This bites a bit considering a parasitic fee has been levied per head on all leisure tours to benefit road/track racing.
Well done to those responsible, you have found a way depriving local charities of annual funds through your levies while at the same time depriving leisure tour organisers of valuable publicity.
