Hi all, first post here so my apologies if it has been asked before.
I asked this over on the Bike Radar forum and no-one had an answer although it was suggested someone on this board might.
I'm currently living in England-shire and have been thinking about buying a Garmin 705. However, I got news last week that I have been offered a job back home in Lisburn and as the wife and kids are keen to return, I'm taking it. Problem is, the Garmin GB Topo mapping only covers mainland UK. Can anyone tell me if the base map on the 705 or any other software available for it covers NI? I'm specifically interested in whether or not the unclassified roads are covered as opposed to just the main A and B roads.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Gav,
City Navigator Europe NT covers the c roads.
I use it on my 705 and also use it in Mapsource which lets me plot the route on the PC.

Bob,
Once again, thank you for taking the time on this. Looks like a 705 will replace my Polar CS600 and Garmin Foretrex 101 combo.
The CS600 is not a bad piece of equipment, particularly when used in conjunction with the Polar ProTrainer 5 software, but the upload/download to the PC/Laptop is done via a very finnicky IR link. Hence the big plus for the USB interface of the 705!
Likewise, the 101 uses a serial interface which just refuses to connect to either my PC or Laptop so new routes have to be programmed in 'manually' by me entering each Grid Ref for the main junctions and bends. Especially frustrating considering I could upload an entire route from Anquet if only it'd connect!!
So, with the mapping you've described, the 705 makes the complete package for me.
Thanks again.
