I was thinking instead of stopping somewhere for a bite to eat on our way down to Dublin how about taking a packed lunch some sandwiches and soup and Pauline could take it down in the car, it would be far better and quicker as we wont have alot of time to sit about. We want to get down there asap and then we could leave at 8am So what do you all think?

A note to let you know that today I made a firm hotel booking for TWELVE (12) for Saturday 4th April (Dun Loaghaire). If there are others could I possibly know within the next week, please.
The payment is not due until we get there.
This hotel has also confirmed that they have a secure area for all the bicycles.
I will be out on the run on Saturday.
As regards numpty's idea for the stop on the way down - cycling 100miles is no picnic.

Ref: Cycle to Dublin on Saturday 4th April / return Sun 5th April. As those of you who are going are aware, ages ago I made a firm hotel booking (4 double rooms & 3 twin rooms as requested). The hotel is The Kingston Hotel, Dun Laoghaire - www.kingstonhotel.comOf these 14 spaces only 13 have actually been filled - ie, there is ONE MALE SPACE STILL AVAILABLE within this particular booking. No doubt additional rooms could be found if there is further interest in this cycle - ie anyone who is interested is still very welcome to come along. Someone in a cycling helmet spoke to me on the way to the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre a few Sundays ago, and expressed a provisional interest - if still interested, or any one else, please contact me: if interested post a reply on this site or see me this Sunday, etc. alanr
