well done all. Sorry couldn't make it,but am only today fit to walk up the stairs. Seem to have started to kick the flu, suppose I shall have to start from scratch on the tt efforts again!
Anyhow now I've missed this I might have to take on the 160 in August.
Any other leisure runs in the next while? Peter

thanks to everyone involved in the signing on, tea stop, road painting, marshalling etc. without all these folk successful events wouldn't happen.
I found yesterday hard but satisfying, i didn't realise that from just before Whiterocks the course was so undulating. The piece of elastic, which had been keeping me in contact with the front group, finally snapped at Lisbane. The final 15miles on my own were completed at a considerably lower pace.
Maeve.........there was no chance of you dressing incorrectly. You are the only person I know who turns up to an event with their entire cycling wardrobe!!
Welsh John... How did you get on ?
and finally
well done to the racing men, 3 placed (8th, 9th & 10th) in the John Moore memorial (see Cycling Ulster Website) and comments on Phoneix website (below)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yesterdays race shows the benefit of riding steady up and overs, that's why we stayed away. Pity our scratch group don't do that in club races these days.
It was nice to see lots of Phoenix guys working hard and a mention for the Dromara guys, as big al said in last weeks thread on the TOM some of those guys are very new to bike racing. They did very well yesterday and put in a lot of work.

I found it to be a day of two halves after venturing out to meet up with the riders on their way from Strangford. It was good to see a lot of familiar Dromara faces in that first group giving it some good pace and looking strong. I think however I was a bit ambitious in trying to keep up with you to Killyleigh. I should have known better and followed the doc's advice to take it easy because the jellylegyitis set in big time from there on. The mind was willing but the body is weak... A Big Thanks to Bob and numpty for the much needed food and back wheel from Killyleigh, without which I'd never have made it. I really was suffering those last few miles and died for a few hours after getting home. Hopefully I'll be back out (and able to give it large on the front) before too long ... John

A big thank you to everyone who helped me out after my fall on Sunday on the Coastal run, especially to those who got me cleaned up.
I hope nobody else got hurt too badly.
Thanks again, David

Sorry about the Jersey and shorts, but isn't that always the way. Could have been worse I suppose as I hear the coach behind wasn't giving you a lot of room. I am sure it will not put you off the Mourne Sportif in Agust. Thanks for your support David
