A Personal Note I was truly surprised when Louise Fullerton presented me with a huge bouquet of flowers as a “Thank You” from the Ulster Women’s Association. After all the mishaps we have had this week I was feeling really down and this gesture really cheered me up. In fact it rendered me speechless which Tommy says is a rare condition for me. I would like to thank all the women as it really did me good. However greater thanks is due to all of you who have helped develop women’s cycling in Ulster over the ast two years. It is a joy to go to an event and see so man of you line up and be happy to ride the course and set individual targets for yourselves. I was really sorry for Antje Otto and Nicky McBride who went off course today as they have both improved so much this year. Many thanks also to numpty who forfeited her own race to look after the injured rider. We hope she recovers soon as she was in contention before the accident. It was a tough course and we had 4 laps to do and Mary came off on the 4th lap, someone braked infront of her and she went over the handle bars down a drop into a field. We were both with the group but i stopped to see if she was ok and she shouted to me to go on but i was too far back from the group. I went around the last lap on my own Thanks to Phoenix CC and their lovely t-shirts Attachments:
