Can you join the Mourne walks if you are not a club member. I regularly go walking in the Mournes and have just started cycling again.
I am interested in joining club but have to build up my cycling fitness first.

Hi Yes you can go out with walking club for a few times and see if you enjoy it or not If you are interested let me know and i can send you the walking programme of the walks every week. Also i am thinking of taking the cycling club out walking once a month so you are very welcome to come along As for the cycling club same applies, try before you buy. As for the fitness, dont worry,we are all trying to build it up.

Count me in. Unlike some of the 'older' members I have no fear of the physical effort required to climb the hills. I know you are good with the weather and everything so if poss pick a day without too much fog, cloud, or snow . From what I hear (from Ann's son) maeve wants to be running up hills so if she can bring running shoes we could always stop for the inaugural Dromara Hill Climb.

I could have sworn Mr Green had posted something about how the exertions of walking tired his poor wee feet out. That is what I referred to when I was talking about older members. However this post seems to have gone awol, or perhaps I imagined it. Anyhow's the last time I wasn't present as I was away in Donegal, not from the fear of walking up a couple of hills - see how tough I am.
