Calling any Slow Patrol regulars and potential new members for a nice Autumn ride of about 30-40 miles at a casual pace with a cafe stop and back home by about 2.00pm. The weather forecast is fair but if it turns nasty we just head home early. See you at the Square Ballynahinch at 10:00am. All welcome.

Sleepy head me did the first 25miles on my tod through Drumaness, Loughinisland, Tyrella, St John's point .. until Killough where I hooked up with the guys (my reckoning is they had been doing that dirty trick of drafting! and I hadn't noticed!) We headed round the coast at a leisurely pace ... yacking away catching up on all the banter ....that was until we hit a hill ....... then the mountain goats left me for dead until the top! (reckon some of these guys are doing secret training?? ) We were on Fritz's Garmin Tours ....the best ever headed to Strangford, then the Quoile and some back roads to Kilmore, Teconnaught and then the back road to Ballynhinch... 63miles on the clock door to door. Great day out .... ( Killyleagh Pete, Stephen W, Damien, Fritz, Gary and me )

Rode over to B'hinch this morning and met up with Stephen and newbie Ivan, as well a good group of fast boys. Needless to say we let them head off on their adventures and then it was good to Maeve out, as she flew past with a wave and a 'which way did they go ' on her way to catch them. Stephen, Ivan and I headed back to Dromore and then on to Lurgan via out Time Trail route, from where we headed for Gilford, stopping off at Ballydougan for yummy scrambed eggs, french toast etc. mmmmmm...... Then it was back through Laurencetown and onto the Lurgan Road where we cut across via Blackscull to Dromore. From there, I headed back up the A1 for home and the two bhoyos headed back towards Ballynahinch. We were fairly lucky with the weather in the first half of the spin and after that the rain and mucky roads reduced us to dirtbags. Great day, lovely spin, good grub and good company and 62 miles on the clock . That Ivan is mighty strong and fit, no trouble to him. Same time, same place next week
