Brilliant days cycling... weather and company superb. By far the best leisure event on the cycling calendar, made possible by Trevor and Martin and all the Dromara staff. I rode the 125 with Davy (aka elkie brooks! ;D), Barry and big Marcus... great craic right to the end. 116 av of 15.5. I rode the new Sperrins route the previous weekend, and while riding it I thought it was possible competition with our 125.... I was wrong, the tin legs prove that this morning! ;D

Ps. I liked your artwork, Deek!!

Thanks to Trevor and Martin and all who helped out on the day.

Sportive was a good day out on the bike, our select band keeping a steady pace over the hills of south Down. Gavin got the KOM by a long way, James in second. The final climb up windy gap was sick after 90 miles, but as the man said "it's done and they can't take it away from us."

Deepa send her thanks for the opportunity to have a practice before the Tour of Ireland

Special mention to the road markers (Deek) at times it helped, going up Dree, at others like at the bottom of Coyles hill it did'nt - as you turned up there was a single word - Enjoy!

Thoughts with Gavin and Chris - sad news.

Just wanted to add Niall's and my thanks for a great day out. we started with great trepidation (rightly so), but the two stops were well placed to break the leg-sapping climbs effect.
Thanks to Trevor for sitting grinning on both the Kiln hill and Windy gap, and giving us the impetus to struggle up past him (thoughts of punching him on the way up did spring to mind). I have never had as hard a climb as Windy gap after 95 miles, but once over the top - the short run back down is a pleasure.
Well done to Martin, Bob, Trevor and all the others, I really enjoyed myself (looking back)

:)
What a great day, this was my first time doing the hilly 125 on the road bike, as the last time was on the tandem with Bob.

It was tough but good craic and the company was great, Davy Robb, Mary, Ross and Kevin. There were a few punctures around the roads and Deek i liked the writing on Dree as i had lots of time to read it as there was plenty of it. I was so glad to see Dromara on the way home :P av 14.0

Well done to the club, really well organised and i like the key rings. but could someone tell me who the photo is on the keyring??

Well done to the ones who did the Sportive ;)

It is a picture of Sportive legend Peter Bryson !

Apologies to those who did not get a keyring (available for the Hilly events only). Final numbers on the day exceeded our expectations ;D ;D ;D

Please email me and let me know if you are one of the few who didn't get one. martin@dromaracc.co.uk
